While every phone is different, we have listed some of the most common issues and possible solutions. For further assistance, please call your phone operator.
4.1 Change Capitalization:
Soft Keys: Most phones come with one or two soft keys that can usually be found directly below the phone screen. The functionality of these keys will vary, but when inputting text you can often click on one of these keys to toggle between different input options such as ABC (all caps), abc (all lower case), Abc (first letter capitalized), Auto or T9 (predictive text entry). Repeatedly press the appropriate softkey to toggle through the options.
"*" or "#" Keys: On your phone keypad, the "*" or "#" keys can be pressed to change capitalization, much like a shift key on the keyboard. Phones often denote this functionality by an arrow symbol that is also on one of those keys.
Under "Menu": A "Menu" command can often be found at the bottom of a screen or as a command attached to a soft key. The exact "Menu" commands will vary enormously, but when inputting text you are likely to see options that include ABC (all caps), abc (all lower case), Abc (first letter capitalized), Auto or T9 (predictive text entry).
Up or Down Arrow: Some phones with a four way navigation use the up or down arrows as shift keys. Other phones have up or down arrows attached to particular buttons, most commonly, the "*" or "#" keys. These are also used like a shift key on a normal keyboard.
4.2 Insert Symbol
Possible ways to insert symbols include:
